Undergraduate Computer Science Thesis Supervision

Supervisor · UNSW Sydney

I supervise undergraduate computer science students through a major thesis project completed across three consecutive courses. The sequence takes students from defining a research or development problem to implementing, evaluating, and communicating a substantial technical contribution.

  • Thesis A (COMP4961): Students review the literature, identify a research or development gap, define the project scope, and plan the technical work for the following stages.
  • Thesis B (COMP4962): Students carry out the core research, software, or hardware work proposed in Thesis A, evaluate their progress, and revise the plan for the final stage.
  • Thesis C (COMP4963): Students complete the project, evaluate the final results, and communicate their findings through the written thesis and presentation.
